Team  Neo_Baroda

Neo-Baroda is a collective born from the discontent of artists and writers who felt isolated in contemporary art institutions. Emerging from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Baroda, the group saw the need for a platform transcending the limitations of physical art sharing. Observing a lack of information and collaboration during their master’s studies, they aimed to address the gaps in art education and exposure for emerging artists, especially from less prominent locations. Neo-Baroda provides a space for video interviews, reviews, and social media displays, promoting dialogues on both theoretical and technical aspects of art. The initiative has grown from four individuals to a larger community of young writers and practitioners, fostering the unrestricted sharing of ideas through open resources, movie screenings, and debates. Currently, Neo-Baroda is engaged in three major projects: The 100 Artist Project, documenting contemporary artists; New Art Centres and Regional Modernism, exploring art’s evolving language in alternative centers; and The Pedagogy Project.
